Die Form ist offen mit geraden Wänden und standfestem Boden, Ø 8 cm und H 8 cm, Fassungsvermögen 260 ml — eine alltagstaugliche Größe für Tee. Nomi heißt auf Japanisch „trinken“; die Serie trägt diesen schlichten, alltäglichen Charakter.

Jede Tasse wird auf der Scheibe aus grauem Steinzeugton und lebensmittelechten Glasuren gedreht und so gebrannt, dass der Scherben sintert und ohne weitere Versiegelung lebensmittelecht bleibt. Innen liegt ein transparenter Glanz; außen werden Pinselstriche auf den Ton gemalt. Weil jede Tasse von Hand bemalt wird, variieren Rhythmus und Dichte der Striche von Stück zu Stück — keine zwei Tassen sind gleich.

Für losen oder beutelweisen Tee in einem ruhigen Moment oder zusammen mit dem Rest der Nomi-Serie.
