FOC (Field-oriented Control) for Super Linearity & High Torque & Extreme Silence
New sensor technology has changed the feel, performance, and overall tune-ability of the new Axe ESC and Motor in ways some have never experienced. Field-oriented Control is the name of this new tech, and is something all new to the scale trail, rock racing, and RC world in-general. This new style of sensor allows extremely accurate control and sensing of the motor while maintaining extreme performance and reliability. The motor and ESC are able to match the RPM of the motor to your throttle position under all driving conditions. This greatly improves down hill driving giving this system the ability to drive down hill under complete control. FOC technology also makes the whole system extremely silent, the motor doesn't create the annoying PWM noise when it is running.
Intelligent Torque Output & Speed Closed-loop Control for Easy Control
- Not just a new ESC and motor, the new FOC sensors, combined with Intelligent Torque output and closed loop speed control mean the ESC and motor will maintain the motor’s Torque level and
- RPM as the vehicles conditions change. Uphill, down hill, under load, you name it, your Axe system will do what you’re telling it to do.
Battery Reverse Polarity Protection
- Hobbywing's AXE FOC Crawler system has been designed with a very unique feature protecting your ESC from damage caused by Battery Reverse Polarity, so no matter how many times you reverse the battery connections the AXE ESC and the paired motor are safe from damage.

- The IP-67 waterproof has been taken to a new level with the AXE System. Completely sealed ESC design with robust heatsink case design ensure the ESC is ready for anything you throw at it. Dual Running Mode
- AXE FOC Crawler system supports dual running mode, not only classic "Forward and Reverse (rock crawler)" mode, but also "Forward/Reverse with brake (normal)" mode, to satisfy your application.
Professional Drag Brake Adjustments & Super Parking Capacity
- Drag brake rate, and drag brake tuning allows scalers to adjust not only the hill/hold/drag brake, but how quickly the brake applies. This allows high speed driving with out sudden jerks or stops when releasing the throttle. The drag brake itself is super charged, and able to be run at extremely high levels. Compared to a standard crawling brushless setup, the drag brake in the Axe System can be rated at 200% in comparison.
Built-in Bluetooth for Connecting the Mobile APP Directly
- Built in Bluetooth connectivity means exactly that. The ESC has Blue Tooth built right in! Nothing extra is needed to access the ESC’s complete on board programming but your smart phone device and the Free Hobbywing App from your App Store. That’s right folks, the Bluetooth feature is BUILT INTO the ESC. No extra devices, wires or connections required!
Easy Obtain AXE Running Status with Real-time Data Recording Function
- Connect the HW Link cellphone APP to the ESC and open the real-time data recording function, to check the throttle, voltage, current, temperature, RPM and other data in real-time. Easy obtain running status of ESC and motor. Note: Due to transmission distance of bluetooth, the effective distance is about 3m!
Super Internal BEC
- The built-in switch mode BEC with a maximum output of 13A and voltage adjustable between 6V and 7.4V allows the use of various standard servos, high voltage servos and other peripherals.
Built-in High-precision Magnetic Encoder
- A high precision magnetic encoder is used in the motor to ensure precision and consistent information is provided to the ESC. This allows the ESC to have more information from the motor than standard “hall” type sensors and provides improved performance and efficiency.
Advanced and Secure Electronic Switch
- The dust, dirt, and waterproof switch housing ensures a long reliable life for your ESC, will not suffer from the problems most standard on/off switches encounter.
Multiple Programmable Items

Perfect chair!

I love this chair! Was hesitant to buy due to the price being a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I work from home and have terrible posture from sitting at my desk all day, so I needed something that would be conducive to helping me sit up properly. I put the chair together myself, it was heavy but overall pretty easy to do. The tools provided worked great and the directions were clear. Aesthetically, it’s a lovely neutral color and everyone who has seen it so far has complimented me and on how nice it is and how comfortable it looks — Indeed it’s a very expensive looking chair. The first time I sat on it I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it….maybe something about the lumbar support seeming to protrude too much? At any rate, I gave it a couple of days and I absolutely LOVE it. I can already feel my posture improving, no backaches and I’m perfectly comfortable all day long. I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and couldn’t be happier. It seems to be very well made, so I’m confident it will last a very long time and be worth the price. I HIGHLY recommend this chair!

UPDATE: DEFECTIVE… it was a Great chair... a bit short for tall people!

I purchased this chair four years ago and really liked it. However, when it was damaged during a move, I attempted to replace it. Unfortunately, the replacement chair had a construction issue that had been repeatedly mentioned in numerous comments spanning over a year at least. This defect prevents the chair from being completely assembled, rendering it unusable (screw holes don’t line up). Amazon has failed to address this issue by removing these defective chairs from its inventory. You won’t be aware of this problem until you’ve almost completed assembling the chair. At that point, you’ll have to disassemble it, rebox it, and return the box to UPS. This is an incredibly inconvenient process, and Amazon must take immediate action to rectify this issue before anyone considers purchasing this chair again.

Based on someone else's review, it would seem that this chair is perfect for average-height people but less great for those of us who are a bit tall or (according to her) a bit short. I'm 5'9 with most of my height in my legs. I like a chair to be tall enough that my legs can be straight to the floor from my knees to my feet and still have support under my knees. This chair is too short for that, even at it's highest setting, but it can be fixed with a simple replacement of the gas lift cylinder for a mere $20 (search for gas lift cylinder on Amazon). And the extra $20 is worth it because other than that one issue, this chair is great. My first experience with this chair was at work when the firm replaced all of our desk chairs. I loved it so much that I bought it for myself when I went into private practice. The lumbar support hits in just the right spot and moves with your body as you lean in and out. I love the cream color, and the seat is padded nicely. I especially love the liftable arms. I sit at my desk for 8+ hours straight 5-6 days a week, and I never have body pain-- Granted, I am only 36, but I have definitely experienced this with other office chairs that claimed to be "ergonomic". With a simple lift cylinder replacement and a movable standing desk (which I never actually stand at), I can finally sit at my desk without my knees hitting the underside of the desk or my legs having to be extended out to have support under my knees. These two things mean that I don't slump at my desk anymore, and my neck and back thank me! :)

Good but not great. Limited adjustment

Chair looks great and is very comfortable and well made. I took stars off because a couple of issues that I can’t live with and will require me to buy another chair.
The chair does not rise high enough. Unlike other office chairs, I feel like I’m a little kid at the adult table(I’m 5’10” male).
The most annoying feature is the chair back angle isn’t adjustable so I’m always at a slight recline. I have to place a pillow behind me to look like I’m not falling asleep while on camera. Suprised there isn’t an adjustment for that.
I would have discovered all of this if I was able to try it out before hand but the mass positive rating don’t mention these issues.

The leather surface can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth, making it ideal for use on tables with drinks or snacks.
