2nd Gen Camaro / Firebird TBM Modular Bore Billet Master Cylinder Conversion Kit (Choose Bore Size)

Our Manual Brake Master cylinder kit utilizes a billet firewall mounting plate CNC'd from 6061 Aluminum. This plate is designed to utilize our TBM Modular Billet Tandem Master Cylinder. This requires you to drill your brake pedal for the master cylinder pushrod Kit. Includes all hardware necessary.

Years of development have went into this all new TBM Billet Modular Master Cylinder which answers the needs of racers and hot rodders alike. For years our brakes have rapidly developed to create world class braking systems. However, the control system of a car's braking system is the master cylinder. While most brake master cylinders are cast spinoffs of old technology that lack options in internal and physical outside sizing, have leaking issues, and reliability issues. The TBM brake master is a ground up engineered design to remedy those questions and offer new solutions for builders.

Sizing Guideline

15/16" Bore Size: Our TBM Billet 15/16" Master cylinder is only recommended for vehicles running 2 piston front brakes and 4 piston rear brakes at 6:1 Pedal Ratio.

1.032" Bore Size: Our TBM Billet 1.032" Master cylinder is recommended for vehicles running 4 piston front brakes and 4 piston rear brakes at 6:1 Pedal Ratio.

Features:

  • Master Cylinders held to exact tolerance and precision for out of the box performance
  • Compact Design fits where others don't (an inch or more shorter than standard masters)
  • Modular design allows for adaptability on the top (reservoir) and bottom (outlet plate)
  • Symmetrical Outlet plate gives you the ability to run the outlet fittings on either side of the master cylinder
  • Standard outlet plate offers better line routing than traditional master cylinders with down facing or side facing outlet fittings
  • 3an Female & 1/8" NPT outlet fittings
  • Fully captured pushrod (Zero risk of pulling out)
  • Hard Coated pistons avoid internal wear and debris with extended use that can clog and degrade brake caliper and system performance
  • Front threaded mounting holes offer ability to rigid mount the front of the master cylinder in chassis cars with add on steel plate
  • Oring construction for zero leaks
  • Easily swap from reservoir to remote mount with P/N 41-0004
  • 1lb. lighter than most aftermarket tandem master cylinders
  • Bright Black Anodize finish for ultimate durability
  • EPDM Seals
  • Stainless Hardware
  • Made completely in the USA in Bradenton, FL

Included:

  • 6:1 Pedal Ratio optimized for manual brakes
  • Billet Manual Master Cylinder Firewall Plate
  • TBM Modular Billet Aluminum Tandem bore Master Cylinder
  • Hardware for Installation
  • Brake Push Rod w/ Heim Joint for attaching to pedal
  • Fittings for Master Cylinder

*Note: Slight modification to existing bolt holes on firewall needed to accommodate brake plate. Additionally, factory pedal assembly needs to be removed and studs going through firewall to hold factory master cylinder need to be removed from pedal assembly by cutting as bolts will be put in place*

This kit improves the brake pedal ratio for use with manual brakes vs. power brakes.  While sharing the original bolt pattern, this requires you to modify the existing hole where the master cylinder goes through the firewall to accommodate the stronger ratio.

Note: Due to the difference in pedal travel based off of the required manual master cylinder ratio, brake light switch may require modification to work properly based off of pedal position.

Always order big!
I needed a minimum of 2 AWG wire to create interconnects between batteries in a large bank. If you note, these say 1/0 Gauge, not AWG. What is 1/0 Gauge? Who knows, it's fake. Meaningless, because it is not standardized so you have no clue what you are getting. What did I get for my 1/0 Gauge wire? Something that was in between 1 and 2 AWG (closer to 1). This was perfect for my needs because I knew darn well how big to order when they say gauge instead of AWG. As a rule of thumb: If they as gauge, order 3 - 4 sizes larger than you need in AWG. This will always net you larger wire than you need but I have never had it net me wire smaller than I needed. At the price I got it for during prime days, it was a steal for 2 AWG wire, so I win! I hope you found this helpful!

Heavy duty and has lasted three years so far
I have had this relay installed in the engine bay of my Lexus RX 300, functioning to link the front battery to the additional battery in the trunk whenever the ignition is on. The relay has worked reliably for about three years now with no complaints besides one minor comment, be careful when threading down the nut on the Low voltage side. It is prone to stripping

Heavy Duty!!
Performed extremely well. No buzzzing or poor connection. Extremely well built and has been working issue free for over 6 months! Instalation can be a bit difficult due to size and weight. Not really a problem.
