De wijngaarden van Luigi Bosca

In 1890 arriveerde Leoncio Arizu in Argentinië op zoek naar nieuwe kansen, en in 1901 richtte hij de wijnmakerij op in de provincie Mendoza. Toen besloten hij en de Boscas, een andere oude en welvarende familie die uit de Piamonte-regio in Italië was geëmigreerd, hun krachten te bundelen en de huidige Bodega Luigi Bosca - Arizu-familie op te richten. Ze bezitten in totaal 618 wijngaarden in Lujan de Cuyo en omstreken. Een streek die een hoge ligging heeft en dus optimaal kan genieten van veel zonuren en koude nachten. De druiven worden volledig met de hand geoogst en in kleine kisten naar de wijnmakerij gebracht. Hier worden de trossen geselecteerd en ontsteeld waarna ze voorzichtig geperst worden. Het sap wordt koud gemacereerd bij een temperatuur van 8 tot 10 graden voor de duur van vijf tot zeven dagen. Hierna fermenteert de wijn in kleine roestvrijstalen tanks, waarbij verschillen extractieprocessen worden uitgevoerd. Na de maceratie rijpt de wijn 12 maanden in eikenhouten vaten, waar hij een malolactische gisting ondergaat. Vervolgens wordt de wijn gefilterd en gebotteld, om dan nog ten minste zes maanden in de wijnkelder te worden bewaard voordat hij op de markt komt.

Het resultaat is een diep robijnrode wijn die heerlijke aroma’s heeft die we verwachten bij deze druivensoort. Zwart fruit en peperige tonen die perfect in balans zijn met de geroosterde tinten dankzij de houtlagering. De wijn is intens, gestructureerde en vooral vol in de mond. Met rijpe en fijne tannines en een zuurgraad die mooi in evenwicht is. Deze zuurgraad zorgt voor een aanhoudende en elegantie afdronk.

This was a great little storage cart. I picked it because of its size I had a very specific area it needed to be fit. I appreciate that it's very close to counter height. It was a little bit complicated for my brain to process at the moment because of how much I had going on. But once you sit down to do it it's really not too bad. I also really appreciate that the shelves are adjustable. This is a great option from using counter space or floor space for things I need quick easy access. I use mine for storing dog supplements treats and the bottom fits a couple of gallon jugs for my distilled water and another for vinegar. Ideally I'd love it if there was one side with an option to enclose so I could flip it around when guests come over. Not a huge deal breaker I'll think of something because I understand the intention of this was to slide it in between two things. Mine is not oriented that way. But it's still attractive and useful.

Shelf snapped during assembly; had to fight for refund with seller

I was really excited to get this cart for my kitchen because it looks nice and would fit really well between my fridge and my oven. However, when assembling the final shelf, it snapped and broke and became unusable. I reached out to the seller to see if they could offer replacement pieces and they told me no, offering a 40% refund or exchange instead. Like I said, I was literally on the final step of assembly with the shelf snapped, so I can’t take it apart and put it back in the box properly to ship back and 40% is NOT enough if I have to re-purchase the item. The last offer the seller made was for a 50% refund which is another terrible offer. So now I have a half-broken unit that I don’t know what to do with. Super disappointed. If you’re assembling this piece, make sure all your shelves fit properly! And if you have problems, don’t expect the seller to help you. EDIT: The seller finally sent a 100% refund after emailing back and forth for several days. I did not have a good experience with this seller, so I will be donating the cart as-is and not be repurchasing.
