Hij wilde een platform creëren om alles wat vintage is te kopen en te verkopen, maar ook een ontmoetingsplek waar zowel doorwinterde verzamelaars als beginnende vintageliefhebbers informatie en inspiratie kunnen vinden. Very Vintage is een bron van inspiratie: de interieurreportages tonen hoeveel mogelijkheden er zijn om vintage in je woning te integreren. De huizen in dit boek zijn immers even divers als hun bewoners: sommigen zijn verzamelaars en zetten hun hele huis vol met vintage; anderen kiezen voor zorgvuldig geselecteerde vintage designmeubels in een strak kader. Very Vintage is ook een gids: Tim en Julie verzamelden meer dan 200 adressen waar je de beste vintage spullen vindt in België en Nederland, van meubels en lampen tot kleding en huisraad, van gecertificeerde designstukken uit de jaren 1960 tot authentieke accessoires die aan je huis net die unieke toets geven. In de lijstjes vind je ook barbers, restaurants en hotels waar vintage de sfeer bepaalt.

Auteurs Julie Vrijens en Tim Mouling leven en ademen vintage. Tim is de beheerder van de populaire Facebookgroep The Vintage Market en de man achter Bar Bakeliet in Borgerhout. Samen met Julie runt hij de B&B Bakeliet, die net als de bar ingericht is met vintage design en persoonlijke verzamelobjecten. Julie is de ontwerpster achter modemerk Red Juliet; ze heeft een eigen winkel, Local Collab, waar een collectief lokale designers de krachten bundelt.

I like the travel size because I use a bulky hugging pillow to ease stress on my shoulder and elbow. That makes my side of the bed feel cramped if using a larger head pillow. A smaller pillow is easy to flip end-to-end in the middle of the night. I have spent lots of money on pillows over the years, but this is the best I've ever had for relieving [1] neck pain and [2] CPAP mask seal problems. Very comfortable, supportive, and affordable. I did not notice any unpleasant smell — and I am usually sensitive to that kind of thing. Would highly recommend.
