De Brusselse kunstenaar David Helbich begon in 2006 met het verzamelen van Belgian Solutions: hij maakte foto's van de eigenaardige en soms hilarische no-nonsense oplossingen die hij in zijn dagelijkse omgeving tegenkwam. Toen hij in 2009 zijn foto's begon te delen op Facebook en andere sociale netwerkplatformen (de Belgian Solutions pagina heeft nu meer dan 38.000 fans) groeide het project snel, met bijdragen van Belgian Solutions-spotters van over de hele wereld. In 2013 publiceerde Helbich zijn Belgian Solutions Volume 1, een verzameling van de beste foto's.

Het boek was meteen een groot succes en is sindsdien acht keer herdrukt. Omdat Helbich fantastische en originele foto's bleef ontvangen, drong een vervolg zich op. In 2015 verscheen Belgian Solutions Volume 2 en nu is er dit derde deel van Belgian Solutions: 302 foto's met een korte inleiding en gebonden in een mooie linnen softcover.
