Van mei tot en met september produceert de plant een overvloed aan bloemen die rijk zijn aan nectar. Hierdoor trekt Salvia ‘Mainacht’ veel bijen, hommels en vlinders aan, wat bijdraagt aan een levendige en biodiverse tuin. De opvallende bloemaren zorgen bovendien voor hoogte en structuur tussen andere vaste planten.

Deze vaste salie groeit compact en vormt een nette pol van frisgroen blad. De intense bloemkleur combineert prachtig met siergrassen, lavendel, kattenkruid, zonnehoed en andere zomerbloeiende tuinplanten. Hierdoor ontstaan kleurrijke borders die gedurende een groot deel van het seizoen aantrekkelijk blijven.

Salvia nemorosa ‘Mainacht’ groeit het beste op een zonnige standplaats in goed doorlatende grond. Eenmaal goed geworteld is de plant droogtetolerant en vraagt zij weinig onderhoud. Door uitgebloeide bloemaren weg te knippen, wordt vaak een tweede bloei gestimuleerd.

I've been using Brita pitchers for years and these replacement filters continue to be one of the easiest and most affordable ways to improve the taste of regular tap water without installing a full filtration system.
