Maar geen van die spullen maakt hem echt gelukkig. Tot hij op een dag een levendig koraalrif ontdekt – en een kleine, dappere krab die hem laat zien dat geven soms meer voldoening geeft dan nemen.

Het verhaal is geschreven in speels rijm door Rachel Bright en prachtig geïllustreerd door Jim Field, het duo achter andere klassiekers zoals ‘Twee vechtende eekhoorntjes’, ‘Wolfje wil naar huis’ en ‘Laat maar los, Koala’. De rijkgekleurde illustraties en de ritmische vertelling maken dit boek een feest om voor te lezen én om over na te praten.
