Zo werden er wijnstokken verbouwd op dit prachtige steenachtige terroir en de wijnmakerij werd gebouwd in 1881. Na de Eerste Wereldoorlog was Louis Eschenauer, een bekende onderhandelaar op de Place de Bordeaux aan de "Chartrons", op zoek naar wijnstokken van goede kwaliteit in de Bordeaux gebied. Hij raakte geïnteresseerd in de wijngaarden rond de top van Domaine de La Garde, die hij vervolgens kocht in 1920, en werd zo de belangrijkste voorstander van de wijnen die geproduceerd werden in het Martillac-gebied, waar hij ook eigenaar was van Château Smith Haut Lafitte.De oogst van de Sauvignon blanc en Semillon
Deze witte wijn van Chateau La Garde is uniek en wordt verbouwd in de wijnstreek Pessac Leognan. Hier groeien en de Sauvignon blanc en Semillon geweldig omdat er een koel klimaat heerst in de wijngaarden. De wijngaarden zijn op behoorlijke leeftijd, namelijk wel dertig jaar en dat bepaald mede de verfijnde kwaliteit. Op verschillende percelen laat de wijnmaker Frédéric Bonnaffous de druiven op groeien. Zo krijgt hij na de handmatige oogst een diverse oogst binnen waarbij hij kan spelen met de druiven Sauvignon blanc en Semillon. Het merendeel is wegelegt voor de Sauvignon Blanc wat bijna de negentig procent aantikt in deze witte wijn. Na de persing en bepaling van de blend wordt deze witte wijn maar liefst acht maanden gelagerd op eiken houten vaten. Daarbij rijpt hij ook nog op de Lie waardoor het echt een plaatje wordt.Vol en zeer krachtig deze Chateau La Garde Pessac Leognan
Het is een feest om te mogen drinken en deze wijn is opgewassen tegen de beste Sancerre wijnen of andere bekende wijnstreken uit Frankrijk. Bij het inschenken zien we een prachtige helder kleur met een groene en gouden schittering. Hij geurt fantastisch en geeft ons indrukken van citrusvruchten subtiel gecombineerd met mineralige tonen. In de mond is het een sensatie, veel rijkdom van citrus fruit met daarbij groene kruiden. Als de wijnen even in de mond walst krijgen we ook indrukken van citrusvruchten, vers gemaaid gras, frisse zuren en ronde smaken van appel en peer. Een wijn met een eigen karakter maar zo verschrikkelijk mooi gemaakt, en wijn voor elke wijn liefhebber.Shipping Notes

This stand is just perfect!
Style: Swivel Base, Color: Space Gray
I first started looking at stands when I learned that staring at a laptop for hours can cause back injuries.
So, I got the idea to use a stand, at home. This stand allows me to have a keyboard and mouse and use my laptop as a glorified desktop with a smaller monitor.
I was astonished at the quality of this stand. It is better built than it needs to be, but I am not complaining at all about this. Let's face it, we spend a lot of money on our laptops, and you want to have a great platform to sit your laptop on.
I love the ability to swivel the stand. My desk is very close to a window that lets in a lot of the sun at certain times of days. This would result in a glare if not for the ability to spin my computer ever so slightly in either direction to combat this problem.
Also, it is a great cable manager with the hole on the back of the stand that makes everything look cleaner and more organized. The color matches my MacBook perfectly and looks like it is an Apple product.
Summary:
Great product. High quality. Looks great. Swizel is impressive and useful.

Perfect stand for your Apple products

I loved the look and design of this stand so much that I bought two of them, one for my work office and one for my home office. I have a 13" Macbook Pro and the screen sits at the perfect height for me. I do not feel like I am straining my neck looking down at my computer screen anymore. At both my work and home offices I have Apple display monitors, so now my laptop screen is inline with my monitors, AND matches their bases, which is very nice.
The keyboard is at a nice angle and isn't too high off the desk if you need to use the trackpad or keyboard. However, I recommend using a secondary keyboard and mouse. The keyboard sits about 4" off the desk so there is room to store your secondary keyboard and mouse underneath the stand. But because it is 4" off the desk, it makes it uncomfortable to type on the laptop or use the trackpad for an extended period of time.
The cord keeper hole in the back of the stand is a nice touch, however if your cords are too tight, it will rotate your stand. The swivel is a nice touch, but it is somewhat sensitive. So far no accidental bumps have irritated me, which was one of my concerns before I purchased. All-in-all I would recommend this product to anyone who uses their laptop with a secondary display, regardless of if you use Apple products or not. It is a well made stand and looks good, and seems like it will accommodate most laptops (within the manufacturers guidelines).

A Solution to Lapbook Problems

This is the best product I have encountered in all my days of using a laptop. I use it with a wireless keyboard, and so the screen is up in my face where I can see it well, and the keyboard in down below where I can type easily without tiring my wrists. I am delighted with it all. The stand swivels, an advantage I was not expecting to care about, and find that I do. The swivel allows me to adjust to the incoming light for better vision. That might not make sense to users of lamps, but I have a skylight and so am accommodating to the sun all day long. The swivel changes everything.
Another plus is how sturdy the stand is. I have no fears of it turning over or dumping the laptop into my lap. It is clearly there to stay, and yet if I need to move it, that is easily accomplished. I tuck the entire thing behind closed doors most of the time when it is not in use, and that leaves my work space neat and tidy.
There is one final advantage. I am a coffee drinker, and I have always been worried about knocking my cup over into my computer. With the stand, my computer sits above the desk top where I put my coffee, and the keyboard is on s shell below and out of the way. I still prefer to drink rather than knock over my coffee, but, hey, why not have a measure of safety also.
I give this product a 10 star review if there is such a thing. It has been a real game changer for me, and now I am not regretting not purchasing a desktop machine. My laptop is absolutely perfect with this stand, and has the advantage that it goes with me when I travel.

Great Stand for retina Macbook Pro 15" but one thing you have to be careful about! NEW USERS/BUYERS BEWARE!

Great stand as other reviewers have noted. The laptop runs cooler, the ergonomics for working are much better....
I just wish ONE thing for this stand. I wish the latch that holds the computer at the bottom trackpad area (meaning the two protruding feet on the stand that are holding your laptop in place right by the trackpad) had a bit more height to it. I have noticed my laptop is almost flush with the feet of the stand, which looks nice design-wise, but makes it a bit less-than-secure. A few times, I thought I put my laptop on the stand securely, but found that a small bump would almost make the laptop slide down off that latch, meaning I did not put my laptop securely onto the stand and into the latch after all. Thank goodness I saved my Mac right before the it fell and got any damage those few times.
I have one of the latest generations of the retina Macbook Pro 15", which means my computer is thus relatively thin (meaning that the height of the laptop when fully closed, from the bottom of the case to the top of the case, is really short). So if I am having trouble with it, I bet older generations of Macbook Pros that are a bit thicker, or any other laptops that are thicker, might have the same issues I have. Computers that are thin like the Macbook Air probably do not have much issue.
But now that I am aware of the issue, I double-check to make sure that the latch is securely holding the laptop when placing it on the stand, so it is not that big of a problem to deal with--just NEW USERS/BUYERS PLEASE BEWARE SO YOU MAKE SURE YOUR LAPTOP DOESN'T SLIDE OFF!

Looks improved!

Bought this model originally in 2016 and it has held up quite well. Decided to get a newer one since some of the product images appeared to indicate some changes had been made.
- the center opening with the logo is larger, better for airflow.
- the circle pads on the top are also larger.
- the front lip has been simplified using less materials, good choice.
- the bottom bearings are noticeably smoother and quieter.
Great attention to detail I think. I prefer the 360 spinning version after trying the standard one. The ability to rotate the stand is just so convenient. This is my favorite aluminum stand on here and now it’s even better! See photos and video for comparison. Old model on left.
