Colore rosso rubino. Il profilo olfattivo esprime profumi di frutta rossa note speziate e nuances boisé. Al palato è ampio con piacevoli aromi fruttati e cenni speziati. I tannini sono ben integrati e la freschezza piacevole. Il finale è lungo e persistente.Il suo nome, che significa "luogo dei sassi", deriva dallabbondanza di pietra presente nel sottosuolo di questi terreni. Pietre che in passato sono servite alla costruzione della maggior parte dei fabbricati presenti sul lato del podere dove si trovano i vigneti chiamati "Tassinaia". Il vino è ottenuto da uve cabernet sauvignon e merlot in percentuali pressoché uguali. La vendemmia viene effettuata a mano, a partire dalla seconda settimana di settembre per il merlot, dalla quarta per il cabernet sauvignon. Completata la fermentazione, i vini maturano separatamente in barriques dAllier, in parte di secondo passaggio, per 14-16 mesi. Il vino viene poi assemblato e imbottigliato. Completa laffinamento con 12 mesi in cantina prima di essere commercializzato.

Excellent!
Format: Kindle
This book is worth reading. From its meticulously researched details to its accessible nature that allows everyone interested in history to enjoy what is contained within these pages, "Alexander the Great" lives up to its title. There is no surprise here, as volumes in this series are generally known to be superb!

...there Is much to learn....

In spite of the title; it's not until 40% into this book that the subject matter actually gets around to "Alexander the Great'.
Oddly, several times, the text uses the phrase "might have said" to signify what someone MIGHT have said. Then there are occasions where the reader is told that someone uses cunning, or brilliant planning, to achieve a goal…but the method or action is not actually explained. Then there are (of necessity?) occasions where the author purely assumes or guesses at circumstances, or actions.
The great majority of the book is taken up with detailed descriptions of battles.
STILL - there Is much to learn from this glorification of Alexander.
