Champagne Boizel Joyau de France Chardonnay 2007 is een zeldzame Blanc de Blancs uit de prestigieuze Joyau reeks van Champagne Boizel. Deze cuvée wordt volledig gemaakt van Chardonnay uit 4 beroemde crus in de Côte des Blancs: Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger en Vertus. Door 10 jaar rijping op de lie en een lage dosage van 5 g/l krijgt deze Champagne een indrukwekkende combinatie van rijpheid, krijtachtige spanning, brioche en frisse mineraliteit.

Wijngaarden en regio

Joyau de France Chardonnay komt uit de Côte des Blancs, het beroemdste gebied in Champagne voor grote Chardonnay.

• Ligging / Herkomst: De Chardonnay komt uit Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger en Vertus. Deze dorpen staan bekend om Champagnes met spanning, finesse en een duidelijke minerale lijn.

• Selectie: Voor deze prestige cuvée wordt alleen sap van de eerste persing gebruikt. Dat is het meest verfijnde deel van de persing en vormt de basis voor een Champagne met precisie en bewaarpotentieel.

• Champagnestijl: Joyau de France Chardonnay is een Blanc de Blancs, volledig gemaakt van Chardonnay. Binnen de Joyau reeks laat deze wijn vooral de elegante, minerale en lang rijpende kant van Boizel zien.

Druivensamenstelling

Deze Champagne wordt gemaakt van 1 druivenras.

• 100% Chardonnay – Côte des Blancs: Chardonnay geeft deze Champagne zijn florale aroma’s, citrus, amandel, verfijnde zuren en krijtachtige mineraliteit. In de Côte des Blancs krijgt de druif extra spanning en lengte, waardoor deze cuvée zich lang kan ontwikkelen.

Vinificatie en rijping

De vinificatie is gericht op zuiverheid, lange rijping en maximale expressie van Chardonnay uit de Côte des Blancs.

• Persing: Alleen de eerste persing wordt gebruikt voor deze cuvée. Dat zorgt voor een verfijnde, precieze basis met veel helderheid in geur en smaak.

• Rijping: De Champagne rijpt 10 jaar op de lie in de kelders van Boizel. Wat is rijping op de lie? Dat is rijping op de fijne gistcellen, waardoor de mousse fijner wordt en de wijn meer diepte, textuur en tonen van brioche en geroosterde hazelnoot krijgt.

• Dosage: Met 5 g/l dosage blijft de stijl droog en strak, terwijl er genoeg ronding is om de rijpe Chardonnay en lange kelderrijping mooi te dragen.

Proefnotities en serveertips

In het glas is deze Champagne helder bleekgoud met een lichte groene schittering en zeer fijne bubbels. De geur opent verfijnd met meidoorn, amandel, grapefruit en citroenschil, gevolgd door patisserie, brioche en geroosterde hazelnoot. De smaak is dicht, ruim en fris, met bijna zilte mineraliteit en een lange, strakke finale.

• Serveertemperatuur: Serveer deze Blanc de Blancs op 10–12 °C, zodat de fijne mousse, citrus, amandel en minerale lengte mooi samenkomen.

soft finish for upper lip and chin area

I use a very small amount, about one or two drops, warm it between my fingertips, then gently press it onto the upper lip and chin area. There is no stinging sensation, and the scent is very mild, which makes the application feel calm and comfortable. The texture feels lighter than expected. It spreads smoothly and settles quickly without leaving a heavy or greasy film. My skin type leans slightly combination, and in my case it sits well without making the T zone feel overly coated. Even when I follow with a light moisturizer, it layers without pilling and still feels breathable on the skin.
