Zoo Vadis is een doorontwikkeling van Reiner Knizia’s klassieke onderhandelingsspel Quo Vadis?. In dit spel probeer je om de sterrententoonstelling te bereiken door met medespelers te onderhandelen. Wees slim en meedogenloos. Sluit bondjes en speel een slim politiek spelletje om de sterrententoonstelling te bereiken, want alleen dan maak je kans op de titel van dierentuinmascotte.

Wat als de dieren de baas zouden zijn in de dierentuin? Waarschijnlijk zou er een verwilderde regering ontstaan, gebouwd op de steun van andere dieren en gevoed door roem, aandacht en bewondering van bezoekers. Uiteraard zouden de meest ambitieuze beesten onderhandelen voor een plek in de sterrententoonstelling en de belangrijkste ster zou tot dierentuinmascotte worden verkozen. Om een plek te veroveren in de sterrententoonstelling moet elke diersoort zich een weg omhoog banen in de hiërarchie door een meerderheid aan stemmen of door de hulp van de dierenverzorger. De diersoort die onderweg de meeste lauwerkransen van enthousiaste fans en jaloerse rivalen heeft verzameld, is de dierentuinmascotte. Hoe krijg je steun en verdien je lauwerkransen? Door listige politiek, slimme onderhandelingen en meedogenloze plannen. Er kan tenslotte maar 1 dierentuinmascotte zijn.
