Des te beter je samenwerkt, des te groter de beloning zal zijn in de nieuwe Overkill-modus. Dankzij de Overkill krijg je nog grotere wapens voor nog meer verwoestingen! Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is online met twee personen te spelen, of kan thuis op de bank met z'n tweeën doorlopen worden. Niets is te gek. Teamwork is belangrijk en kan er voor zorgen dat je net dat extra duwtje in de rug krijgt om vijanden te flankeren of tactisch van achter een schild aan te vallen. Door samen te werken, bouw je de Overkill-meter op. Wanneer deze vol is, kan jij je helemaal laten gaan met een aantal momenten vol epische kills en explosies! Elk van de spelers heeft in Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel de vrijheid zijn eigen wapenpakket samen te stellen.
