An iconic bottle with a iconic champagne inside. This is a classic bdb (blanc de blancs) that is loved and enjoyed all over the world. Blanc de blancs means that it is a "white of whites" which means that it is a white champagne made out of white grapes which is chardonnay. That means that this champagne is made out of 100% chardonnay grapes.

The grapes are harvested exclusively from fields with Premier Cru status, primarily on the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims, but also to a lesser extent grapes from plots around Sézannais and in the northernmost part of the Vesle valley.

After pressing, the must is fermented in cement and stainless steel, after which the young wines from this year's harvest are mixed with up to 20-25% of the so-called vin de reserve from the 2 previous years' harvests to ensure continuity and the house style at Ruinart. The wine then matures for a minimum of 36 months in the bottle before the sediment is discarded and it is finished with a dosage of 9g. per liters.

The result is an extremely reliable Champagne that is poured in a light golden hue with small fine bubbles and a persistent mousse. It smells clean and fine of acacia flower, citrus, peach, and fresh apples, which go well with brioche, roasted almonds, and other spices from the time in the bottle. Then almost full and creamy in the mouth, where the relatively high dosage balances the acid and emphasizes the fruit in an extremely appealing and broadly appealing way.
