Door de pootjes kan je deze deksel echter omgekeerd ook gebruiken als skillet. Door de pootjes blijft hij stabiel staan en wanneer je hem rechtstreeks op bijv. kolen of een vuurtje plaatst, wordt de hitte niet verstikt. Aan de binnenzijde heeft hij een grillpatroon.
