Op 23 november 2024 stond chansonzangeres Tess Merlot in een uitverkocht PAARD in Den Haag, samen met het Residentie Orkest. In het kader van de Symphonic Junction-reeks bracht ze een indrukwekkend programma van klassiekers van onder anderen Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel en Charles Aznavour, maar ook van chansongrootheden als Dalida, Mouloudji en Charles Trenet. De volledige show werd professioneel opgenomen. Allereerst als persoonlijke herinnering, maar ook met het idee: wellicht kan er ooit iets van uitgebracht worden. Een jaar later luisterde Tess terug, met nieuwe oren én een nieuw perspectief. Het resultaat: een selectie van veertien nummers, waaronder drie van haar eigen chansons, verschijnt op CD en vinyl. Een uniek live-album, waarin het chanson en orkestrale kracht elkaar vinden. Gemiliteerde editie op Skull gold gekleurd vinyl.
