‘Outsider’ is het nieuwe studio album van Tim Dawn en omvat zowel de betekenis van het buitenbeentje zijn, van een afstandje naar de wereld kijkend, als van de underdog. Op dit tweede studio-album staan dan ook dertien eerlijke en persoonlijke liedjes over de soms pijnlijke, maar ook de mooie kanten van het outsider zijn, waaronder de NPO Radio 2 TopSong: ‘Don’t Like Him On You’.

De basis voor het album werd gelegd tijdens een schrijftrip in Stockholm. Tim Dawn schreef de liedjes op ‘Outsider’ samen met Wouter Vingerhoed, Sander de Bie, The Companions, Loren Nine Geerts en Rubert Blackman. Vier songs schreef Tim Dawn alleen.

Het album is geproduceerd door Wouter Vingerhoed (m.u.v. Something) en gemixt door Huub Reijnders (Bløf, Krezip, Guus Meeuwis). De mastering werd verzorgd door het legendarische Amerikaanse duo Calbi/Fallone (Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Bob Dylan, The Beatles).
