Uit de tentoonstelling 'Et moi, et moi, et moi', waarin drie vrouwelijke kunstenaars hun persoonlijke mythologieën presenteren, op zoek naar de sleutel tot hun ware essentie. Het verhaal gaat over de familie van Marian Williams en haar wortels in Rotterdam.

‘Rotterdam et moi 1’ is een mixed media compositie op canvas; transfercollage afgewerkt met papiercollage, olieverf, pastels en stift.

De compositie toont twee illustraties, elk doormidden gescheurd met rafelige randen.

Het bovenste beeld toont het bovenste deel van het beeld ‘De Verwoeste Stad’ van Ossip Zadkine. Dit bronzen monument in Rotterdam herdenkt de Duitse bombardementen op 14 mei 1940 die het middeleeuwse stadscentrum verwoestten.

Het onderste deel beeldt een kind uit dat rent in de velden.

Beide figuren geven dynamiek en beweging aan het werk. De figuratieve benadering plaatst realiteit naast fantasie en vangt een moment van bevrijdende blijdschap en zwaartekrachtontkenning.
Het nodigt de kijker uit het onverwachte te omarmen en uit te dagen wat betreft vorm en ruimte.

My Foxhound /Beagle mix had this toy torn in several places within minutes. He loves his toys, but this one seemed to frustrate him and me. The small slits are too tight for anything but kibble. The large pouch is too deep for treats, and would send kibble flying as soon as he shook it. Anything larger would get stuck! The pouch tore at the seams as soon as my dog tried to pull out a Milkbone. Only small treats would fit in the slits, and he’d lose interest with them. The squeaker was useless due to the large size and hardness of the head. The weight and size of the head and the length of the toy might be a problem for smaller dogs. This toy was returned.
