Hij zocht met aandacht en toewijding naar antwoorden. Ondanks zijn studie bij de beste leraren, vond hij geen bevrijding van zijn ontevredenheid. Uiteindelijk trok hij zich terug in stilte en meditatie, op zoek naar een diepere rust en blijvende tevredenheid.

Op zijn 35e bereikte hij verlichting. Hij ging daarop zijn weg als leraar, waarbij hij zijn inzichten deelde: het pad naar innerlijke rust en geluk dat niet afhankelijk is van buiten.

Zijn nalatenschap omvat een rijke leer, waarin hij onder andere de vier edele waarheden en het nobele achtvoudige pad beschreef. Deze leer nodigt je uit om bewust stil te staan bij hoe het leven werkt en hoe je ruimte kunt maken voor meer rust in jezelf.

My husband needs the thickness of our regular comforter because he says I freeze him out at night. This 'comforter' is so soft, fits the bed great (as a blanket or comforter), and is truly cooling. Now, that's not to say I haven't woken up a little on the warm side but all I need to do is readjust to a cool spot under the blanket and I fall right back to sleep. The grey is very light but it is washable as needed.
