Deze is voorzien van Ratchet-technologie, een gepatenteerd freewheel-systeem met zeer nauwkeurige tandwielringen voor maximale belastbaarheid en betrouwbaarheid. Bovendien is het dankzij het "no tool" concept snel en eenvoudig te onderhouden.

Bij elke pedaalslag grijpen de tanden van de twee tandringen tegelijkertijd perfect in elkaar. In tegenstelling tot het ratelsysteem, waarbij het contactoppervlak van de naven relatief klein is, grijpt hier elke tand met zijn volledige oppervlak in de tegenoverliggende tand, waardoor veel lagere puntbelastingen ontstaan.
