De gewaxte versie van deze ketting zorgt voor schonere, stillere en duurzamere prestaties. In tegenstelling tot smeermiddelen op oliebasis vormt droge was een beschermende barrière die vuil afstoot, onderhoud vermindert en de levensduur van de transmissie verlengt. Ontvetten is niet nodig: een eenvoudige veeg met een droge borstel of doek is alles wat nodig is om de ketting te onderhouden.

KMC GO WAX is milieuvriendelijk, biologisch afbreekbaar en bevat geen schadelijke oplosmiddelen. KMC zet zich dus in voor een toekomst zonder smeermiddelen op basis van minerale olie, in het belang van fietsers en de planeet.

1. Waarom een gewaxte ketting gebruiken in plaats van een geoliede? Was vormt een droge microfilm die geen zand of stof aantrekt. Dit voorkomt het ontstaan van een "schuurpasta" die je cassette voortijdig verslijt. Je fiets blijft langer schoon en je wint een paar watt aan efficiëntie.

2. Hoe onderhoud ik deze ketting als de fabriekswax is uitgewerkt? Het laatste wat je moet doen is olie toevoegen. Na ongeveer 300-500 km (of een uitstapje in de regen) maak je de ketting schoon met een droge doek en breng je een nieuw laagje vloeibare was aan (zoals KMC GO WAX).

3. Is de "Celeste" coating alleen voor het uiterlijk? De zwarte kleur is de DLC-behandeling (ultrahard). De gekleurde accenten (Celeste) zijn een extra coating die ook beschermt tegen corrosie, maar het is eigenlijk de zwarte DLC die zorgt voor de wrijvingsprestaties.

4. Is deze ketting compatibel met 12-speed aandrijvingen? Nee. Deze ketting is strikt voorbehouden aan 11-speed systemen (Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo). Voor 12 versnellingen is er de DLC 12 versie.

Overdo is what I do

Since my 50" monitor is under the 22lb weight limit, I decided to give this arm a shot. Nobody seems to make an arm for something as big as a 50-inch even if they don't actually weigh that much. So what happened? The arm CAN support that weight and size. The manufacturer did a great job on the materials and it assembles very easily. For a regular monitor, this arm should work great. But the clamp design is not exactly sturdy enough for my bigger screen that exceeds the intended use. Clamped to the table top alone, the pole had a serious and unsafe lean to it. I ended up reinforcing my table with three layers of plywood secured with lag bolts right through the table top. Between the layers of plywood is the table top and a steel beam that the table top sits on. So this is a ridiculously strong base. With that in place, the arm does hold the monitor in the fully retracted position. Extended, there is way too much leverage and the arm starts to lean. So don't do that. It needs to stay totally retracted to the pole. To fit my monitor, I had to get VESA extension wings and those worked fine. This provides the solution I am going to use: angle irons bolted to the wings and running down to the table. I have room to do this. The angle irons will take up most of the weight and let the arm stay vertical and let me move it around. So it will be a three-legged mount instead of one. Eh. It will work fine for me until I come up with something better. Very tempted to drill holes in the clamp base and lag bolt that to the table. Nothing is going to beat that except welding it.

Just make sure to order the right mounting arm depending on the size of your monitor, and you will be fine. Nice quality and feel, and the aesthetics are great too.

Pretty great product

Stand works great and as expected. I have a 32” monitor on one and a 26” ultra wide in the vertical position on the other. I’ve had them for a few months and they’ve held tension perfectly. Usually, I find these spring tension arms to become loose after a few months and you just tighten them back up, these are still stiff like when I first set them up, and I move them around quite often. The monitors can rotate 360 degrees and tilt up and down almost 90 degrees each way. The clamp is sturdy so you will feel comfortable making sure it’s tight on the desk. I do plan on drilling a hole to mount the desk to mount it without a clamp and will update my review when I do so. It comes with the hardware to do either mounting options. They're made entirely of metal except for the plastic cable trays that clip along the bottom of the arms. The entire build is well worth the cost and gives me more space on my desk and helps my workflow when editing photos or editing video.
