イギリスで買い付けた、1980年代頃のFRANK USHERのヴィンテージイヤリング。

クラシカルな印象のオープンワークメタルに、ガンメタルカラーのラウンドカボションがセットされた大ぶりデザイン。

上品に艶めくサテンのようなマットゴールドをガンメタルの光沢が引き締め、洗練されたムードが漂います。

身に纏えば、お顔周りをぐっと印象的に魅せてくれる一品。秋冬のファッションとも好相性のイヤリングです。

カボション表面に細かな傷やコーティング剥げが見られます(写真5・6枚目)ので、価格に大きく反映させていただいております。その他良好なヴィンテージコンディションです。

【FRANK USHER(フランク・アッシャー)とは】
1942年に設立されたものの活動を休止していたブランド”FRANK USHER”は、1944年にアン・ブリューとマックス・ブリュー夫婦に買収されたことで有名になりました。

ナチスドイツからの難民であり、ナチスからの迫害に苦しんだ末にロンドンに移り住んで出会い、共に成功を掴んだブリュー夫婦の人生は、とてもドラマチックなものでした。FRANK USHERを買収後の二人は、無我夢中で懸命に働き、デザインから資金調達、経営や床の掃除まで、すべてを自分たちでこなしました。

1980年代から90年代初頭にかけて、FRANK USHERはスカーフ、ネクタイ、コスチュームジュエリーなど、さまざまなアクセサリーを作り始めました。同社はコスチューム・ジュエリーを作るにあたり、ジュエリーカンパニーや宝石商と協力しながら独自のデザインを行いました。ジュエリーはベルベットのポーチに入れ、フランク・アッシャーのロゴをプリントした紙タグを付けて販売されました。

ブリュー家はイギリスのファッション業界に大きく貢献するばかりでなく、会社をアイコニックで国際的にも有名なものにし、世界中にオフィスを構えるまでに成長。マックスが重い病に倒れて亡き後は、アンが事業を続けましたが、彼女が78歳になった2000年に経営を引退しました。

Alone or with another dog!
