DESCRIPTION: This classic 1970s houndstooth coat is a true icon of mid-century style. Featuring the signature black-and-white broken check pattern, this piece exudes sophistication and versatility. Crafted from a warm wool blend, it offers both comfort and structure, while the tailored silhouette and collared neckline create a polished, chic look. Perfect for layering over dresses or pairing with sleek trousers, this coat is designed to keep you stylish through cooler seasons. A must-have for vintage lovers and fashion enthusiasts seeking a statement piece that never goes out of style.

HISTORY: Houndstooth, a venerable textile pattern, traces its origins to the Scottish Lowlands, where it was traditionally woven into woolen garments such as kilts and tartans. Its distinctive broken check design—evocative of a dog’s tooth—emerged as a hallmark of regional craftsmanship before ascending to global prominence. By the 20th century, houndstooth had secured its place within the canon of fashion, celebrated for its refined aesthetic and enduring versatility. Long associated with tailored outerwear and suiting, the pattern became emblematic of sophistication, bridging heritage and modernity while retaining its reputation for durability and timeless appeal.

Only Sublimation Ink for Me!!
I recently bought my second set of Hippo Sublimation Ink and continue to be thrilled with the results. This ink has proven to be a fantastic choice for my sublimation projects, delivering on all fronts. Hippo Sublimation Ink works exactly as promised. It sublimates effortlessly onto poly blend items, producing bright, vivid transfers every time. The colors are striking and true to the design, which is crucial for quality sublimation work. The results are consistently impressive, making this ink a reliable option for any project. One of the standout features is the great price. Hippo Sublimation Ink offers excellent value for money compared to other brands. Despite its affordability, it performs just as well—if not better—than more expensive options on the market. Using Hippo Ink in my Epson printer has been a breeze. The ink flows smoothly and doesn’t clog the printer, even after not being used for two weeks!!! I’ve had issues with other brands clogging my printer, leading to frustration and wasted time, not to mention all the maintenance puts wear and tear on the printer. With Hippo, there’s been no such problem, making it a hassle-free choice for sublimation printing. Hippo Sublimation Ink has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, price, and ease of use. It’s the only ink I will use in my printer from now on. If you’re looking for a high-quality sublimation ink that’s both affordable and reliable, Hippo is an excellent choice. It delivers bright, beautiful transfers and maintains smooth operation without any of the typical issues associated with other brands. Highly recommended!

Great for Sublimation!
I’m a bit new to sublimation and was worried about having dull colors, but this ink is doing wonders! The quality is great, I can adjust the amount on the printer and get the exact, rich, vibrant colors I want. (I found some recommended settings for brightness, contrast, etc… and then tweak the cyan, magenta, and yellow to the desired amount.) I definitely recommend getting this ink! It’s so easy to refill the printer (I have an Eco tank 15000). The cost is not bad at all. I’ve only washed some of the items one time and so far the ink has remained unchanged. Seems like a winner to me!

Vibrant colors, great traction on fabric, and easy cleanup
This sublimation ink has been a great find. The colors are vibrant and transfer beautifully to fabrics, mugs, and phone cases. The traction on the material is excellent—designs don’t smudge or fade easily after pressing. I also appreciate how clean it is to work with. Refilling my Epson EcoTank printer was simple, and there were no messy drips or stains. Cleanup of tools and surfaces was quick with just a damp cloth. For beginners or experienced crafters, this ink delivers consistent, professional-looking results every time.
