When to Replace
- Visible signs of wear such as cracking, fraying, glazing, or splitting.
- Belt slips during operation, resulting in decreased blade speed or uneven cutting.
- Audible squealing or slapping sounds originating from the mower deck.
- The belt has stretched and no longer maintains proper tension.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any service.
- Release the belt tension by disengaging the deck clutch or tensioner pulley.
- Refer to the equipment's operator's manual for the correct belt routing diagram.
- Ensure the new belt is properly seated in all pulley grooves before applying tension.
- Check for and clean any debris from the pulleys and deck area.
