INTENTIONAL DESIGN
Every inch of the V801 has been scrutinized, tweaked, and perfected to achieve VMR's design goals. Each feature of the V801's architecture is the result of a vision to create a contemporary classic style that takes cues from modern automotive design language. From the center converging spoke extensions with alternating teardrop diamonds that yield fluid symmetry, to the raised spoke ends, undercut lip, and angular concavity profile that produces sharp, visual depth; each crest and curve of the V801 serves a purpose.
ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION
VMR believes a beautiful idea means nothing without the brawn to back it up. The V801 has been engineered as meticulously as it's been designed. Utilizing their state of the art flow forming manufacturing process, the V801 barrel is forged via high heat and high pressure rollers. This hybrid construction results in a strong wheels that weighs less, without driving up the costs unnecessarily. This process also greatly increases the load rating! The V801 is over-engineered to meet a minimum rating of 815 KG per wheel. That's 1,797 LBS! Weight reduction? Strength? Both required elements of the V801's engineering and construction process.
OUTSHINE THE ORDINARY
The amount of detail the V801 demonstrates in design and construction is taken one step further with the factory finishes available - Hyper Silver, Anthracite Metallic and two brand new coatings. With the goal of highlighting the intricacies and overall impact of the V801, VMR is proud to introduce two new, multi-stage, premium crafted finishes with this release: Mercury Black Metallic & Titanium Black Shadow.
- Mercury Black Metallic - A diamond cut face highlighted by Mercury Black accent with a high gloss translucent throughout. The bright mirror finished face with highly reflective Mercury Black accent creates an immensely dynamic, lustrous appearance.
- Titanium Black Shadow - A diamond cut face offset by Piano Black accent with Dark Titanium clear throughout. The stealth titanium tint over mirror finished face results in a high gloss wheel that displays contrast in direct light, yet appears full gloss black in indirect light.
NO SUBSTITUTE FOR PRECISION
The V801 is machined in-house at VMR's Southern California facility. No centering rings are required. No aftermarket adapters are needed. VMR takes out the guesswork and replaces it with craftsmanship because they believe the best fitting wheel is one that doesn't require any accessories to install properly.

My Denon ROCKS
Style: AVR-X3800H
Pros:
Nine Amps power a 9.1 or 7.1.2 or 5.2.4 speaker configuration because most of us want Atmos to work in our listening room.
Plenty of power available in each amp and each configuration
Atmos DTS IMAX plus any other codec or audio visual enhancement is available. Yes, 4K 8K HDR all supported.
Three HDMI outputs
Preamp output for up to 11 channels so any combination of preamp vs. power amplifier output is available. But not both preamp AND power amp for the same channel. And you can pick and choose which channel you want for pre amp vs power amp individually. So it can function as a AV Preamp Processor at very reasonable price point.
DAC (changes Digital Signal to Analog) with all the power amplifiers you could want. High quality, including DSD, is an added bonus.
Setup customizable to the nth degree. Some people might say too many options but that’s the way we get this AVR to meet our individual requirements
I’ve been working with the setup for the last week and have dialed in for my needs. Still playing with the HEOS but I think it’s working well for now. Various HDMI inputs need different surround settings, I like the DTS best, but the unit has a way to include default settings for each HDMI. I’ll use default settings with my BluRay. And I’ll use direct or pure or whatever the source allows for music and streaming. And most users will want a streaming stick like the Amazon one otherwise you can’t get the Atmos signal to work. Older streamers won’t pass the Atmos signal though.
The only problem with a device like this is you will buy more speakers and amps and possibly even more subwoofers, the unit will support 4 subwoofers. Enjoy
So I will get back to you with comments about longer term issues. BTW the 3800 was a refurbished version for $999 . Definitely an excellent value. The online reviews are quite favorable. Even the audiophiles are still learning the nuances of setup. It’s worth the extra effort to get the most out of each user’s individual existing equipment.
Cons: None. I’ve been an audio video nerd for decades so I can say that the setup effort is easily justified once the user, with user manual in hand, patiently works out the desired configuration. The audio expert online information is invaluable.
I have 21MBS broadband service in my region. Even with this limitation I have more than enough added capacity with the Denon that I would never return it to seller unless someone catastrophic happened. Yes I like it that much.

Denon Refurb AVR-X3800h.. IMPRESSIVE!

I did a lot of homework and made contact with the seller. Great communication. Turns out all of the Denon refurbished receivers are inspected or repaired by DENON, and re-certified only after passing tests upon functional as new. It arrived in a Denon box, very well insulated. Contained all NEW accessories like new & sealed. Appears flawless. The setup was easy since I have years of previous experience with surround systems. This replaced my Onkyo of 10 years. And WOW, the difference is phenomenal! Great onscreen setup + smart phone app makes it nice for making fine tuning adjustments. This model is packed with all the latest tech. The Durac Live is easily downloadable, but I am so impressed with the Audacy setup I didn’t buy the download. Great value refurbished. It comes with a one year warranty, so I purchased the 3 year assurion warranty since I saved so much money. Very happy.
