Age / shoe size = actual sock foot length (that's when flat from heel to toe)
3 - 9 mths / 1 - 2 = 10 cm
1 - 2 yrs / 2 - 4 = 12 cm
2 - 4 yrs / 5 - 8 = 14 cm
