The Mini Maton EMS6 Model is a small bodied guitar with a very big voice. Though it is a lot smaller than a standard dreadnought, this guitar packs a punch well above its weight.. This models features an "AA Select" Grade Solid Sitka Spruce top, Blackwood back and sides, AP5 pickup system and Grover machine heads. This Mini Maton could be just what your collection has been missing.

One of the most visually stunning furniture timbers available, Blackwood has also become an important tonewood. Most of the Blackwood comes from the Otway Ranges in Victoria, Australia. It often displays "fiddleback" character and "AAA" grade Blackwood can be intensely
figured. It has a warm, full tone with a particularly pleasing mid frequency response and has become one of the most sought after timbers. It may be of interest to learn, that whenever a Maton employee gets to make their own guitar, they almost always choose Blackwood.

It is used in nearly every Maton either as a neck, back & sides, or internal component.

The "S" in EMS6 represents a Solid Sitka Topwood.

Using the ‘Sweepable Mid’ controls. Midrange is sweepable from 1 to 2khz and can be cut or boosted within this range. As a general rule for the system should start out ‘flat’ then be altered to achieve the tone desires. For example, an open, natural sound can be achieved by setting the frequency control at 1.4khz and the boost/cut control at 5db. Alternatively, for a ‘thick’ lead sound boost your mids by 5db and set the frequency dial at 1.7kh

This instrument is in Excellent + Condition with a recent bridge replacement.
