Vacusera PRP Tubes with Gel

The biocompatible Vacusera PRP tubes with gel from disera are used to produce pure and highly concentrated PRP from venous blood. They are CE-marked and a class II medical device and guarantee a high-quality and reliable end product.

The PRP tubes with gel are optionally available in a set of 3 or in a practical kit with all the consumables necessary for the production of PRP. The set consists of three blood collection tubes. While two of the tubes (orange lid) are provided with a sodium citrate solution to inhibit blood coagulation and a cell separating gel, the re-suspension tube (grey lid) is used to collect the extracted PRP and ensures a homogeneous end product in the further course of treatment. In case of longer waiting times between blood collection and treatment, the resuspension tube ensures that the material has the best properties for the corresponding treatment.

After only a short centrifugation time of 10 minutes, a PRP layer forms on the gel. The extracted PRP is dense and pure, as the erythrocytes are securely sealed under the gel layer. This prevents red blood cells from getting into the PRP and facilitates the extraction of the PRP.

How long can PRP be stored in the collection tube?

• Room temperature: 4-8 hours
• Refrigerator (2-8 °C): up to 24 hours
• Freezer (-20 °C): up to 6 months

However, it is recommended to use the PRP as soon as possible to achieve the best results. In particular, thawing after storage in the refrigerator can significantly impair the viability and function of the platelets.
