Driftwood Block DW133 1.5" x 6" x 21" 1 lbs. This is an elongate half-log of spalted driftwood, species unknown. The spalting is really eye-catching in this piece. The wood grain is almost invisible on the cut face, and all you see is the wild spalting lines and shaded zones. See the photos for close-ups of this beautiful spalted wood. This is a rough-cut piece of wood that I've cut down the center with a bandsaw but have not sanded. The back of the piece is the rounded sub-bark with no bark present. Its moisture content is 20-25%, as measured in August 2023. If you'd like a current reading on it, just drop me a note in the contact form and I'll get back to you on it. This piece would be ready-to-use for many applications: signs, paintings, laser burning, pyrography, woodturning, etc. If you would like to use it for other purposes like knife handles, jewelry, coasters, etc, you will probably want to stabilize it with Cactus Juice or a similar product. This is a beautiful piece of driftwood that will delight you! |

Sturdy, high-quality components

Well-made reamer and plug inserter, as well as the 10 plugs, and the accessories. Even the pouch is high quality. Included instructions are very clear -- just be sure not to insert the plug with too much force, or you'll put the entire plug thru the hole. It's so much easier for a simple in-situ scooter tire puncture repair, where removing the tire can be much more time-consuming than removing a car tire. Including the high-quality little water/soap solution mister is a thoughtful feature. I highly recommend.
