EDNA ARNOW (1921-2013) was a well-known Chicago area studio potter and sculptor who received early instruction from Leah Balsham at The Art Institute of Chicago, but was otherwise largely self taught.  For more than 40 years, Arnow made stoneware pottery in the basement of her house in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side, where she started out on a wheel that her husband Robert made for her using an old washing machine.

In the 1950s, Arnow was part of the important artist collective 'Exhibit A Gallery', together with Earl Hooks, Leo Segedin, Eve Garrison, Frank Petersen, and Tristan Meinecke.  She also exhibited her work at The Art Institute of Chicago, at The Chicago Public Library, and at the Ceramic Nationals in Syracuse, New York in 1956 and in 1962.  Edna was friends with most of the local independent craftsmen. She participated in local organizations, meetings and events to promote the cause, and she was a regular fixture at many craft fairs in the city.  The Wells Street & 57th Street Art Fairs were her favorite venues as well as others including, South Side, Evanston and Oak Park.  For some 30 odd years, she and her husband, Robert - who also made pottery, but worked as a Chicago policeman - spent most weekends during the summer, packing up their Pontiac station wagon with functional pottery to sell at art fairs around the city and suburbs.  She became a well known presence, always wearing a large hat, and became renowned for her owl sculptures.  She ultimately gained a reputation across the Midwest as a well-known and respected craftswoman and proponent of the Midwest craft scene.

While her work varies in style, it never drifts far from a strong mid century modern craft pottery aesthetic. She was a great innovator in form, design, and surface glaze treatments, having developed many distinctive textured glazes and clay bodies.  at a later point of her life, she became motivated to create modern sculpture, and became famous amongst collectors of 20th Century Modern Art. Her work has been displayed in major galleries and museums throughout the midwest, and is held in several important private and corporate collections.

In 2001 she hosted a gallery show in North Carolina celebrating 50 years of her work as well as her 80th birthday.  In May 2012 she was featured in an article by The Studio Potter Archive Blog. Great ball
I have bought two of these in different colors. My Yorkie loves them. They’re very interactive even if you don’t put the cover on it they move and if he’s not playing with it, it tends to go into sleep mode.My Yorkie got the cover off the ball within the first two minutes. But he loves the ball. Now bought 2nd ball. The ones with covers don’t work he rips the covers off.

Super Fun
Color: Green
One of the most entertaining things you could buy. The dogs go crazy over it and have so much fun. It's a bit loud on hard floors, but honestly worth it for the laughs. Seems pretty durable too. I have 2 labs; one started out uninterested and the other started off scared of it, but not too long after, they both started going crazy, tossing and carrying it around while it shook.

Great for dog who loves chewing small “tags” on stuffies
Size: Rabbit & Pig
My dog loves chewing the small tags or ears etc on plushies. He will pick one ear to chew on the little stuffed dogs from Petco, chew it until it’s starting to get shredded and I have to cut it off, then switch to the other. I picked these toys specifically because they have SIX little tag-like parts that stick out, not just the two ears. He loves them! He is a 10 lb maltipoo and can easily grab and run with these. Loves the crinkle paper inside, loves the squeaker in the head, and LOVES the little parts that stick out for him to chew. We just got them today so time will tell if they are durable, but they seem well constructed and he’s happy, so I’m happy. Update: it’s been a week. I gave him one of the toys and he of course chose one ear to focus all his chewing on. That ear has been chewed and chewed and it is just getting to the point it’ll need to be trimmed off soon due to raggedness. Then he’ll still have five little nubs left on this toy to chew. So it should take him at least 6 weeks to chew all of them. By comparison, when we get cheap stuffies on Amazon, usually both ears are totally finished within a week or ten days. This is definitely more durable and worth the money!

Great dog toys!
Size: Rabbit & Elephant
Theses are the best no stuffing in it. So you do not have to worry about your dog chewing on it. I will definitely purchase it again.
