The F-4 Phantom II was initially envisioned as a carrier based fighter jet for the United States Navy in the late 1950s, but was eventually adopted by the United States Air Force, Marine Corps, and many other countries' air forces. This model kit can describe the first variant F-4C used by the US Air Force, as well as the subsequently upgraded F-4D.
