What is iodine?
Iodine is a valuable element classified as non-metals. In the human body, it is a trace mineral - that is, it occurs in very small amounts, but at the same time necessary for its proper functioning. It is estimated that the human body contains only about 50 micrograms of iodine, of which as much as 75% is located in the thyroid gland.
How does iodine work?
Iodine regulates the synthesis of thyroid hormones - thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). The thyroid gland is one of the most important hormonal centers regulating the metabolism of the whole organism. Therefore, the balanced work of the thyroid gland is the balance of the whole organism.
In addition, iodine helps with the proper function of the nervous system and improves cognitive functions. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal energy metabolism and helps in maintaining healthy skin.
Aliness Iodine does not contain any animal ingredients, making it a vegan-friendly source of iodine, a well-absorbed, mineral form of potassium iodide. The product does not contain any artificial technological additives, preservatives or dyes.
Half a tablet contains 260 µg of potassium iodide, which corresponds to 200 µg of iodine.
