The way we outfit ourselves can play an outsized role in conveying power to others - whether it be the pink "pussy hats" at the 2017 Women's March or the Cleveland Cavaliers' coordinated Thom Browne suits during the 2018 NBA playoffs. However, power is not easily defined. It is political position and economic status, but it is also military strength, sexual authority, rebellion, and protest. Each form of power finds sartorial expression in a variety of ways, from gray flannel suits to latex fetish wear, and from gilded brocades to distressed jeans. Power Mode will explore the role fashion plays in establishing, reinforcing, and challenging power dynamics within society. Published as a companion to The Museum at FIT exhibition of the same title, which will be on view from December 2019 to May 2020, the book will offer a more in-depth discussion of the themes and objects explored in the exhibition. It will be organized thematically into five chapters-military, suits, status, rebellion, and sex-written by exhibition curator Emma McClendon. Each chapter will include both men's and women's clothing from the 18th century to the present and will investigate how certain designs and garments have come to be culturally associated with power, as well as how their meanings have evolved over time. The book will also examine how fashion designers have interpreted these stylistic archetypes-both to convey and to subvert power. In addition to the main chapters written by McClendon, Power Mode

Heavy and bit of a pain to put together

This unit is better for an industrial or business setting. It's rather cumbersome and awkward to assemble. Needs to be kept stationary after putting it together, was not easy to move around once it was up.

Highly Customizable Modular Wall System
Color: Dark Gray, Size: 2 Panel "I"
The VIVO Modular Wall System is sturdy and easy to assemble. The semi-lightweight panels slide in and out of the modular frame. The panels are made of very strong and thick panels that provide a simple, good-looking room barrier. The dark grey tone of the privacy panels looks good with a multitude of interior decors.
This product is suitable for commercial applications, but it can also be used for home use.
I tested this product and installed it in my computer lab to create a private computer corner. I work better by having a cubicle area that is free from distractions. The VIVO modular wall system effectively gives me "blinders" so that the rest of my work area is not a distraction anymore.

This VIVO Modular Wall System, 2 PET Panels, Modern Professional Office Cubicle Dividers, is very nice! It is super easy to set up and individually, they are not too heavy, yet heavy enough to not be knocked over easily. They are very versatile in the way you want to use them. Personally, I want to set a divider for my recording space, and my desk/work space for better efficiency when doing one or the other. It’s also great if you need a backdrop if you do any type of video recording. Beautifully designed wall systems, thanks!

Best choice!

This workstation partition really was a good choice. It took me a bit of time to decide - I was looking for something reliable, noise absorbing, and professional-looking while also being space saving instead of the clunky typical cubicle walls. This was perfect! It successfully created 2 cubicle type units in a room that was anticipated to only be enough room for one cubicle. I am happy with it!
