We use organic brown sugar since that is the most pure form. White sugar is bleached so that will never be used in our products. Lavender EO has antiseptic, anti-bacterial properties that clean and heal the skin. Peppermint increases oxygen flow which can open up the pores for deep cleaning and Melaleuca has strong antiseptic properties for cleaning the skin.
