4-Week LinkedIn Mastery Bootcamp  Framework

Week 1: Building the Foundation

Objective: Create a compelling and professional LinkedIn profile.

• Topics Covered:
  • The importance of LinkedIn for job seekers.
  • Crafting a headline that stands out.
  • Writing a concise and impactful "About" section.
  • Adding experience, education, and skills strategically.
  • Selecting a professional profile photo and an engaging banner.
• Action Steps:
  • Complete each section of the LinkedIn profile.
  • Research and choose 5-10 relevant skills to highlight.
  • Identify and connect with 10 peers or mentors.

Week 2: Optimizing and Engaging

Objective: Increase profile visibility and start building a network.

• Topics Covered:
  • Keyword optimization for the profile.
  • The power of recommendations and endorsements.
  • Understanding and using LinkedIn’s search features.
  • Basics of LinkedIn etiquette (how to send connection requests and messages professionally).
• Action Steps:
  • Add keywords to your headline and job descriptions.
  • Request at least two recommendations from professors, employers, or mentors.
  • Endorse skills for 5 connections and ask for endorsements in return.

Week 3: Content and Interaction

Objective: Build your personal brand through content and meaningful interaction.

• Topics Covered:
  • The types of content that perform well on LinkedIn.
  • How to write and share your first LinkedIn post.
  • Joining and contributing to relevant LinkedIn groups.
  • Commenting on posts to increase visibility.
• Action Steps:
  • Write and post your first article or update on LinkedIn.
  • Share an insightful comment on 5 posts.
  • Join 2-3 LinkedIn groups related to your field of interest.

Week 4: Networking and Growth

Objective: Leverage LinkedIn for long-term career opportunities.

  • Using LinkedIn to find and apply for internships or jobs.
  • The importance of informational interviews and how to request them.
  • Maintaining connections and staying active on LinkedIn.
  • How to track LinkedIn analytics to assess your progress.
• Action Steps:
  • Reach out to 5 professionals for informational interviews.
  • Apply to at least 3 job or internship postings.
  • Set a content calendar to stay consistent with posts and engagement after the bootcamp.

This bootcamp begins the 2nd week of February 2/11 and runs for 4 weeks meeting once a week.
